SXSW Trip Day 4

So another super awesome fantastic day ends at SXSW here in Austin. We began the afternoon at the convention center, seeing St. Vincent play a short set. We saw her previously open for Midlake in Ames. After that, we headed over to the Scoot Inn. There we took in an awesome short set by The Twilight Sad. Then Mew took the main stage and Jake & I were right up front for an incredible 45 set by them. It fucking blew my mind how great they were!

Our evening began by seeing The Cinematics play at the Flamingo Cantina. Their set was also mindblowingly awesome! I'm excited to see these guys again when they pass through Des Moines in a few weeks. They were damn good!

Our evening ended at Stubb's again, where we saw a couple awesome performances by The Dears and the very popular Bloc Party. My feet were killing me by the end, so I didn't enjoy Bloc Party as much as I should have.

While we were going to see The Hourly Radio play again on Saturday afternoon, we just found out their show got called off, so no more of them for this trip. It was seriously amazing seeing them and meeting & talking with them. They are really very nice guys and I can't wait to see them again!
